Topic Brainstorm
There are a lot of topics that I would think would be really interesting to write about. These are my top four.
Using cats to tell a story:
I think that a creative way to retell a story would be through an animals point of view. The animal I would choose would be a cat. There are plenty of stories that include cats in them, so there would not be an issue finding a good story to use. The reason I chose cats is because I am a big animal lover myself. It would be very interesting to tell a story from a cats point of view because they have different characteristics and distinct personalities. Using cats to tell a story would allow me to learn more about how they were incorporated into Myths and Folklore.

Nursing home for Olympian Gods and Goddess:
This would be a really fun Storybook to create. My Storybook would follow a nursing home that cares for some famous Olympian Gods and Goddess. The Gods and Goddess would then all be together playing some game while they each get their turn to retell a story about themselves. It could be their favorite story, most dramatic story, or something else. I have not quit figured that out yet. Greek Mythology is really interesting to me so this would be an opportunity to learn more about it.

The Devil telling his side of stories:
There is no surprise that people associate the Devil with bad things. There are plenty of stories that reveal how bad and mean the Devil is. My idea would be for the Devil to tell his side of the story. Maybe the Devil is just misunderstood. Or maybe he really is bad! Allowing an antagonist to tell a story will be different then some stories. It will be fun to write negatively/sarcastically, but possibly end with a nice message (well nicer than usual for the Devil). I have some knowledge of the Devil but would be interested in learning more.
Aftermath of Nursery Rhymes:
Nursery Rhymes are something that everyone has heard growing up. Doing a more in depth analysis of the stories and imagining what happens afterwards would be allow a different take on the story. This would be a fun way to add to a story. I know that I have wanted to know what happens after a story finishes, so this would allow me to create my own ending. Consequences from actions or just follow ups on characters or situations would be what this Storybook is about.
