Growth mindset is a very interesting thought process that is applicable to every student. In some student environments and thought processes, it seems as if students are put into a mindset that challenges are bad but easy is good. In some instances this is the case, but when repetitive difficulty is lacking, then there is incomplete learning to the fullest potential. Carol Dweck has many interesting ideas in both of the videos. An interesting idea that I know that I have done before is finding someone that did worse so that you do not feel as bad for your own score or grade. This is an easy thing to do in order to boost your self confidence in a class, even if the grade was not good. When I was in band in high school, we would have playing tests and I often had this mindset. If I was not last then I viewed my playing test as a success.
